Appreciated for their shape and small size, mini tomatoes are soft and delicately sweet. The star of aperitifs, it will bring freshness and sweetness to your taste buds.
What's more, its high vitamin C content makes it a highly interesting vegetable from a nutritional point of view.
Do not eat the leaves, as they are harmful to humans and animals.
After 3 to 5 days, the germ emerges from the seed to give rise to two small leaves (cotyledons), which grow and give rise to other leaves.
Each seed germinates at its own pace. After 5 to 10 days, 3 to 5 holes give rise to young plants. The stem then expands to form the tomato plant. Miniature tomato plants will grow rapidly, but will not exceed 20 cm in height. After a month, the first small yellow flowers appear.
It's important to pollinate your flowers regularly throughout the flowering period, which lasts several weeks, in order to obtain maximum fruit. Ideally, pollinate the flowers every 2 days, when the lights are on. Shake the plant gently with the flat of your hand. These vibrations will cause the pollen to fall and allow fertilization to take place. After a few days, the petals will dry and fall off, leaving the flowers in the shape of small green tomatoes that will gradually grow in size.
If the stems start to bend under the weight of the tomatoes, place (clean) stakes to support them.
