Arugula is often used in salads to add a zesty, peppery flavor. You can combine it with other vegetables, fruits, cheeses, nuts and dressings to create a balanced, tasty salad.
It can also be used to make homemade pesto. Simply blend arugula leaves, nuts (such as pine nuts or cashews), garlic, grated Parmesan and olive oil in a blender or food processor until smooth. Use this pesto to garnish pasta, sandwiches or grilled vegetables.
Arugula can be used as a topping for pizzas, sandwiches, burgers and wraps. Its leaves bring a lively flavor and crunchy texture to your preparations.
To harvest arugula, you can cut off individual leaves near the base, or you can cut off the whole plant a few centimetres below the ground. The latter method will allow the arugula to regrow for later harvesting.
To extend the harvesting period, we recommend harvesting arugula regularly. This will encourage the plant to produce new leaves and prevent it from flowering too quickly.
